As it got darker I could see by 7 pm those tags and bands worn by all the people highlighted in the dark, it was glowing flashy and brightly. Then it flashed to me that these lanyards are an marketing tactics at very low cost when there is a need to market a new emerging product or the company, institution for our instance as the lanyards themselves did the entire job of marketing which made the college and the even more popular.
