Chinese Medicine for old knee injury?
So I have an old knee injury (sports related) that I hurt about a year, maybe year and a half ago. I didn’t do anything about it because at the time I was not a legal adult and my overprotective mother would have pulled me from my activities. I want to know, other than acupuncture (which I cannot do myself), are there any Traditional Chinese remedies for healing the muscles and tendons within the knee that I can do myself? If there are non that I can do myself then any other ideas are welcome.

At the time of the injury, the pain was indeed excruciating, but since then it has healed. This is really more to prevent injury in the future by strengthening my knee while it is not injured.
